In pain? Call us first.
We can usually fit emergency patients in the same day or the next - and even when our dentist isn't in surgery, our wider clinical team can often help.
When to call us
What counts as a dental emergency
If any of the following describes what's going on, call us straight away. Don't wait for a routine slot.
Severe pain or swelling
Toothache that won't settle, swelling in the face or jaw, or pain disturbing your sleep.
Knocked-out tooth
Adult tooth knocked out - keep it moist in milk or saliva and call us within the hour if possible.
Broken or chipped tooth
Sharp edges, exposed nerve, or a large piece of tooth or filling lost.
Lost crown or bridge
A crown, bridge or onlay that has come off - bring it with you if you can find it.
Abscess or infection
A spot or lump on the gum, bad taste, or feeling unwell with a dental cause.
Trauma or injury
After a fall, sport, or accident - bleeding gums, loose teeth or jaw pain.
The cost
£200 on the day
An emergency appointment at Anele Dental is £200, payable on the day. That covers the clinical examination, X-rays where needed, immediate pain relief, antibiotics if appropriate, and the temporary or definitive treatment required to get you out of trouble.
Smile Plus members
1 emergency appointment per year included (worth £200). Further emergencies in the same year are at the standard rate.
Smile Elite members
Unlimited emergency appointments included - one of the most-used Elite benefits.
Any onward treatment (root canal, crown, implant, etc.) needed after the emergency is quoted separately at our published prices. We'll talk you through everything before any further work goes ahead.
